Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 August 2026

HiveLab collects no personal data of any kind. It has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts, and no network calls. Nothing you do in the app is transmitted anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no sign-in, no profile, and no identifiers. It does not read your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, camera, health data, or files. It does not ask for your location: the climate you pick is a choice from a list of three, not a reading from your device.

What stays on your device

The app remembers a small amount of state so it can reopen where you left it: whether you have seen the opening screen, and the landscape and conditions you last chose. This is stored by iOS in the app's own container. It never leaves your device, and deleting the app deletes it.

Network use

HiveLab does not connect to the internet. The colony's whole year is computed on your device every time you change something. There is no server, no API, and no third-party SDK of any kind embedded in the app.

Purchases

If the app offers a purchase in future, it will be handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app only whether the purchase is active. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.

Children

HiveLab is suitable for all ages and is designed to be safe for children by construction rather than by policy: with no data collection, no network, no accounts, no advertising and no user-generated content, there is nothing for a child to disclose and nothing for anyone to receive.

Analytics and tracking

There is none. The app contains no analytics library, no crash reporting service, no attribution SDK, and no tracking technology. It does not participate in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompts because it has nothing to ask for.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes for the version that introduces them.
